Hybrid Web and Mobile Application “Neighbourly help”
Case study for the development of the Sousedská výpomoc app using React Native for Web and React Native technologies for the web and mobile versions, respectively: A platform for peer-to-peer quotations, exchange, or sales.

Client’s wish
The client requested a mobile app, followed by a web version, to allow users to offer and demand all kinds of services – from moving and cleaning to lending/borrowing of gardening tools.

Problem
Challenge for our developers
The most challenging part was to find suitable technologies for developing the mobile versions (for iOS and Android) and the web app using one source code. Following that, we had to optimize the app behaviour and layout for different experiences (mobile vs. web version).
Solution
How we approached the app
Difficulties encountered in the process were addressed using the React Native for Web technology. Besides that, we also used some tools from the Expo toolkit with which we already had experience thanks to other projects.

Technologies used for development
For the hybrid development of the app, we used the React Native for Web technology. Of great help were also tools from the Expo toolkit. The backend was coded in Django Graphene using the GraphQL interface. To deploy the app to a production environment, we used the Amazon Web Services.
